Anchored Hope's New Men's Home

Anchored Hope, one of our partner ministries based in Ames, now has two homes for young adults aging out of foster care.

 

In 2024, Anchored Hope opened their first transitional home for young women and currently house four girls. This spring, they opened their first men's home and have welcomed two young men so far!

Overflow is proud to partner with this organization that is doing such good work in our community. Anchored Hope is not only dedicated to providing basic physical and safety needs, they are also dedicated to supporting and mentoring these individuals in other important areas of their lives. They seek to offer community, opportunity to develop and grow in life skills, and the chance to learn independence and how to thrive as adults, while also sharing the hope of the gospel. 

 

We are honored to be part of the organization's new home by sponsoring a bedroom. Our faithful volunteers Marnie and Natalie enjoyed decorating this room with items found at our stores, using their creativity and eye for design to make the space feel homey and inviting.
